Svitanček means little Svitan. It was created in town Svidnik (Slovakia) in 1999 as younger brother of the older dance group Svitan. The leader and the head choreographer is Mgr. Viktoria Husarova, Dip. Dance teacher. The members are children from 6 to 15 years old. They dance especially in couples. They present the ballroom dances standard and latin. They present folk choreographies too.
Svitanček consists of two separate groups: Junior Svitanček (6 to 9 years old children) and Senior Svitanček (children from 10 to 15). There are 24 members, or 12 couples, in Svitancek (both groups).
Children’s dance group Svitanček celebrate 10-th year anniversary in 2009. In this year children introduce to public own theatro-dancing tale called Cinderella’s story.
The members during the years take place in competitions in Slovakia in formations and also as couples. They can prepare 60-90 minutes own program. That means, the small dancers are ready to present their talent in choreographies and programs abroad, too. They showed their program in Poland and Czech Republic.
